Money can exert an incredible power over us, making us worry or want to bury our heads in the sand.
We need to learn how to think about our finances, understand our pressure points, and how to apply ourselves to the long-term process of creating a secure future.
Life has a habit of smacking us in the face whenever we feel like we’re getting somewhere. In financial terms, this can mean an unexpected bill just as we were starting to make progress clearing our debt, which means we have to go deeper into our overdraft.
The best way I know to reduce the impact of these events is to put
in place a starter
emergency fund. In this module, you’ll learn how much to set aside, where you should
keep the money, what it can (and can’t) be used for, and crucially, how to get the money
toge-ther. You’ll set a goal for pulling the sum you need together in as short a time as
possible, and reinforce just why this is so important.
Your entire financial future is built on your ability to spend
less than you earn.
The process of identifying your costs and assigning where your money goes each month is
called budgeting.
This most fundamental of skills isn’t taught in schools, but it
really is the thing
that financial success is built upon. This module contains video lessons, downloadable
budget spreadsheets and printables to help you set and stick to a realistic budget.
Debt is a killer.
Not only does it act against our wealth-building efforts, but it can also consume our thoughts and cause great distress.
Good news: there IS a way out of bad debt, and in this module you’ll find the techniques
to achieve this, as well as support for how to cope with the inevitable
setbacks
along the way.
Too many people skip over the essentials of protecting your finances against disaster.
To try and build wealth for the future without a strong foundation of insurance makes no sense to me. The problem is that insurance is tricky to understand, which is why this module exists!
As we begin to look forward to the Building Wealth stage of our financial lives, it helps to have something to aim for.
Building wealth begins with an understanding of the fundamentals of how money works and how it grows.
This is easily one of the best
bonuses of Asaraguse Academy - Financial Foundations which will
naturally continue to expand and become better.
Joining the group is reserved only for students of this course.

Apart from the main video lessons
in Retirement Planning, we have included additional materials to
help you move forward confidently, organise your finance and keep
track of what’s going on.
Included are workbooks, cheatsheets, quick guides, review sheets,
planning tools, questions to ask your providers and much more. All these
can be printed and filled by hand or used digitally.
Each month, I (Pete Matthew) host
a private Live Q&A Session in the Facebook group mentioned above.
This is your opportunity to ask a specific question and get the
answer you need to move forward. So, if you feel stuck or
there’s something that we can address, I’d be happy to do so.
Otherwise, you can always reach me by email if it’s a sensitive
question.
